Abiatar Ihimbazwe is a local tourism entrepreneur and founder of Twin Lakes Tours Rwanda, based near the beautiful Twin Lakes in Northern Rwanda. Passionate about community-based tourism, he creates authentic and memorable experiences that connect travelers with nature, culture, and local life.

Starting from Burera, Abiatar guides visitors on immersive journeys across Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo, offering a range of activities that showcase the true beauty of the region. His tours are designed not only for adventure but also to support and uplift local communities.

Through his work, guests can enjoy peaceful boat tours, explore Batutsi Island through hiking and village walks, and take part in rich cultural experiences such as banana beer and juice making, as well as local food tasting with residents. Every experience is guided with storytelling, local knowledge, and a strong focus on sustainability.
